Ernie Malaga wrote a few articles on UIM many moons ago - this one dates back to 1993 but I suspect is still valid. It references easier pieces but I didn't track them down.

Yes. The key to success with UIM is "RTFM." I've done UIM menus, and I would not even THINK about attempting one, especially starting from scratch, without having "TFM" open, ready for me to "R" it.
