Rob,

I know you're a strong advocate for joblog pending rather than creating joblogs.
I like and agree with the concept, but I have some concerns.

Normally, on Production LPAR, we have 15,000 to 20,000 joblogs created daily.
We save all joblogs every night, both for troubleshooting issues and audits.
GO CLEANUP purges daily.
200,000 to 300,000 joblogs exist on the system at all times.

There are times where I need to look through joblogs troubleshooting an issue.
I use various tools to scan the joblogs.

I've had to restore QEZJOBLOG outq to a different library, then gather or scan the related joblogs.
How would you save the joblog pendings.

Paul

I understand dealing with tradition. However I remember what my sergeant
taught us: "we're all expendable". Mundane stuff like this I try to make
easy for the next person to step in and take over.
