Hi Niels
We have the same problem
When we make a change to the display file - we have 3 versions
The master one, DSPF, where ALL changes take place
2 secondary ones
DSPFA
DSPFB
In the program, the workstation ALWAYS uses DSPF, with user open
Within the code - there is a OVRDSPF, BEFORE the open of the work station, pointing DSPF to either DSPFA or DSPFB and we flip flop between making DSPFA or DSPFB being the copy of DSPF
You can even have a parameter field that holds the appropriate file name
Hope this makes some sense
The ONLY thing is that when a change is made, the users that are in this program will need to eventually sign off and sign back in to start using the latest version

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Is there a way to replace a open display files
Gents / Ladies,
I have a production environment that runs 24/365 and some displayfiles a always open and have this annoying lock.
So moving the display file to QRPLOBJ, delete it or rename it will not work.
Any ideas?
Is this issue a candidate for an RFE?
