Interesting.

"Oracle's Java version 7u25 and below have been disabled by Apple on
OS X.
Updating to the latest release will allow Java to be run on Mac OS X.

I am no Mac guy, nor do I even play one on TV.

My technical team is tell me that the Macs at our company performed an
update yesterday that in effect disables the use of Java on the
computer.
Originally the Mac users were using a Java script in Safari to access
a
GUI presentation (Lega-Suite GUI Java Client) of the JD Edwards
application. I forwarded the Mac install directory of the Client
Solutions
but they are telling me that Java will not run native on the Mac any
more
due to a squabble between Apple and Oracle. I have no experience on
using
a Mac so I am having to rely on them. Of course using Client Solutions
will still force the users to work on a text based screen instead of
the
GUI window but the only alternative that the technical team has to
offer
is installing a copy of Windows on the Mac and using IE to access the
GUI
Screens.
