Having an HMC in a co-lo without a KVM there is a poor design. We have a
co-lo out of state (right Larry?) and that HMC (and other devices) are all
hooked up to a KVM. This stands for Keyboard/Video/Mouse, not Kernel
Virtual Machine. This allows a series of PC's, HMC's, etc to all use one
display. Consider it an automatic A/B switch from decades ago. A good
KVM will also have remote access.

We use a Raritan Dominion DKX3-416, much like this one:

My boss didn't go cheap on this one.
I'd stick with ones which do not use Java. We were having issues where
the browsers used to connect with them were constantly having issues when
the Java on the KVM got old. It sure doesn't take long for these
manufactures to drop updates when newer models come out.
