Kevin,

I am using *MSGID.
I have all the Message replacement data in the Event Data structure.
Am I correct that I will have to cat the message data and the replacement data and reconstruct the original message?
The entire original message is not available, is this correct?

Paul

Paul,

A cursory look at "Watch for Event Exit Program" documentation in the InfoCenter reveals that "Message replacement data" is available in the "Event data" structure if the "watch option setting" is *MSGID. This, along with the "Message ID", "Message file name" and "Message file library" can be used with RTVMSG to put together the original message text.
