I hadn't tried that. I just gave it a try and it doesn't appear to have
found anything to send out.

As far as being queued, it really all depends on what the IBM i saw. If
it connected to your Mail router (in house) and successfully handed the
email off, to the IBM i, that's a success as the email is not in the hands
of your mail router.

Our mail is handled by an outside company. So our IBM i SMTP server is
handing mail off to an external mail server. I started a TRCTCPAPP
APP(*SMTPCLT) TRCFULL(*STOPTRC) SMTP flight recorder and sent a test e-mail.
It got a timeout error trying to connect to the external mail server.
