I have two 8286-41A. One awaiting outbound shipment, one awaiting GA2 of
firmware before upgrading to P9.
These are not P7's. They are P8's.

They should run Linux. I ran VIOS, AIX and IBM i on it. Unless the disk
is funky enough to insist you host Linux from IBM i.
