#1. We're on 7.3 and have plenty of users still running the iAccess 5250 client.

Subject: iAccess vs ACS question

I am in the process of planning an upgrade from V5.4 to 7.3.

I have resistance to change in switching the icons on our users PC systems in some areas of the business. In the manufacturing plant, the folk have difficulty recognizing the new icon does the same thing as the old icon.
This really floors the folk to the point that if the icon is moved from its position its in, they freeze as they do not want to get into trouble for using what they perceive as a change.

Questions:
1. These users only use the 5250 session. Is anyone aware of any issues for them to continue to use the older 5250 iAccess software?

2. Is there a way to suppress the initial prompt to connect to the system?
Once the 5250 icon is clicked on, it should go directly to the 5250 sign on screen.

TIA

Darryl Freinkel
