Rob,

I just got an update from our BP's technical staff.

From what I can see, the EXP24S is supported now. It cannot be ordered new
but can move from an existing system.

I am hearing late in the year. I am hoping they are padding their testing
time.

The last time I heard the term "GA2" was with Power 6 equipment. That
came out 3 months after GA1. 2-3 months seems consistent with P7 and P8
for the firmware release after the first one.

I have been updated today.
My boss has told me that he looked at the new cards and even had them run
the configuration up the flag pole. Apparently even if he had the new
cards it's still a no go on the 5887's without GA2.

I forget if I updated this or not.
5887 will not be available to be sold with new P9's.
5887 is supported for those who are migrating from earlier systems to
P9's.
However the card often used to control the 5887 on P8's will not be
supported on P9 until GA2.
