<snip>
Can JOBLOG PENDING be saved in case they needed to be restored at a later
date?
</snip>

<snip>
insert into My_custom_joblog_history_table (
select a.job_name, b.*
from table(qsys2.active_job_info()) a,
lateral (select * from table(qsys2.joblog_info(a.job_name)) x) b)
</snip>

Any regular save can save a table.

Again, if IBM had started out with pending joblogs instead of spooled file
joblogs, and just announced the capability to change QLOGOUTPUT to create
a spool file would you be rushing to dump all your processes and convert
to the spool method? I really doubt it.

BTW, pending joblogs have been around since at least V5R4. Nothing new.
