× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

A few questions for joblogs in JOBLOG PENDING status.
We still send all joblogs to spoolfiles.

1) Can JOBLOG PENDING be saved?
We save all joblogs nightly (250,000), for audit and compliancy reasons, keep 90 days on the system.
I've had to restore joblogs on occasion after the joblog spoolfiles were purged from the system.
How would that process work with JOBLOG PENDING?

2) The current tools I have in place for joblogs would not work with JOBLOG PENDING.
The 3rd party products would have to be revamped, if possible.

Let me ask you all this, if back on the S/38, and on the AS/400, IBM did
not send all joblogs to spool files but instead left them pending with all
the wonderful querying capability, etc would you be in a hell bent rush on
IBM i to change the system value, job descriptions, and jobs to start
sending them all to spool files?
