This is weird.

We've got a rather complex query. All of the numeric fields (the results of complex calculations) come out correct, regardless of whether we use STRSQL, SQuirrelL, or a BIRT report.

But the character fields, which look fine in STRSQL, come out as hexidecimal in SQuirrelL and BIRT reports (both of which use JDBC).

Any insights?
