RE: VIOS Console session

A couple things to try. In putty under terminal-keyboard change the
backspace that is sent. In terminal-features play around with the
settings. The first one application cursor keys mode has worked for me
before in some situations. It seems to be because vtmenu is emulating a
vt220. Run oem_setup_env both ways and issue env and look at the term
setting.

Just used my normal putty client again. When I go direct into vios my
backspace key continues to work as a destructive backspace.
However when I go into my hmc and then use vtmenu to get into vios my
backspace inserts some sort of control character. Rather frustrating

when

you are entering in a long command and get a typo.
