Let me recommend using the MI built-in instruction _LOCK - this is
directly callable from RPG - there is a C/C++ prototype in the LOCK member
of the MIH source file in QSYSINC.
The ILE C/C++ for AS400 MI Library Reference has example an exampe, and
you can probably find others with Google. Maybe especially look up Junlei
Li - a developer who has put a lot of stuff out there.

Yes I know I could use one of the command call APIs to call ALCOBJ...
And yes I know I could create a CLLE module around it...
I just thought it'd be nicer if IBM already had an API.

Subject: ALCOBJ API?
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
My google-fu is failing me...
Is there an API equivalent of the ALCOBJ command?
I found this, but it's a bit more lower level than I really want to use.

Thanks!
