Thanks all for the comments and suggestions. I was hoping to be able to
avoid having a CL call another program which called the SQL. But c'est la
vie.

Is it possible? Sure.

But, it would obviously be much easier from another language that has
better SQL support.

I'm envisioning using SQL to extract something from a table and having CL
do something depending on what was extracted.

A Google search finds how to call a CL procedure from within SQL but not
vice-versa (that I've been able to find).
