We have an application that is bringing in files from an sFTP server.  Since files don't inherit their parent folder security, we built a command to correct the authority. The CPP is owned by QSECOFR and runs with adopted authority *OWNER.

But... It is failing with "CPFA0B1 - Requested operation not allowed.  Access problem"

Here are the commands in the CPP:

CHGOWN OBJ('/orcl/edi/inbound/850/621193/POO8746.dat')
NEWOWN(LINOMA) RVKOLDAUT(*NO) SUBTREE(*NONE) SYMLNK(*NO)

**Requested operation not allowed.  Access problem **

CHGAUT OBJ('/orcl/edi/inbound/850/621193/POO8746.dat')
DTAAUT(*SAME) OBJAUT(*SAME) AUTL(ORCL) SUBTREE(*NONE) SYMLNK(*NO)

** Requested operation not allowed.  Access problem **

If I do a WRKLNK on the object, I can see it but have no authority to it (it is from another users' job).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
