In this case spooled files that are on hold are printing when the print que
for the designated printer becomes available.

Is it possible we've overlooked another parameter (CHGPRTF accessible or
otherwise) that if changed would prevent spooled files from printing?

If a spooled file is on hold, it can't print. Even if the printer file
specifies hold, that can be overridden.

Good morning.

Using the CHGPRTF command is there a parameter or multiple parameters that
can be set to prevent a spool file from printing?

Currently the spool file in question is on Hold and Saved. However the file
prints at the completion of the job and upon availability of the print que.

What I want to do is stop the file from printing.
