SAVSYS will always have a file sequence number 1. Was BRMS used to perform
SAVSYS backup or GO SAVE option 21. Incase BRMS was used , your save
appears incomplete as BRMS media information save LIC as an entry *SAVSYS
with file sequence starting from 1

My guess is whoever did the save used *ALLUSR after doing a SAVSYS, then
SAVLIB *IBM, then SAVLIB(*ALLUSR)

If you display the tape with SAVRST you should be able to see the options
based on the files that are there.

We need to recovery our OLD AS400 with 5r4 from SAVSYS; when we run the
option 21 from restore menù, in the RSTLIB SAVLIB(*NONSYS) step, we
receive
the error CPF375F “File not selected. Cannot restore from save type file
QFILE “ . if I run DSPTAP TAP01i see QFILE at sequence 37 ..

Which could be the problem ?
