In my SPLTOOL software I create both RTF and PDF from spooled files. I
imagine going from one to the other couldn't be that hard, depending on if
it's just simple text or not, if you have or want to retain underlining and
bold text. Pages should be easy enough to keep the same.

I may be interested in helping if you're looking for something. Feel free
to contact me offline. It's been a long time since I was neck deep in PDF
and RTF specs but I'm sure it's like riding a bike. lol..

I would like to add more details.
I wrote a process in RPG/CL combination which reads RTF template looking
for reserved words and replacing them with the data. Then it's saved on
IFS as RTF file. I need to convert this RTF file on the fly to PDF from
another RPG/CL process and send it as an attachment.

that I know of, unless you want to try and code something yourself
around iText or other APIs. Might also be some PHP stuff out there.

If you're open to commercial options our iForms software might work for
what you want. It allows you to use RTF formatted documents as input and
you can then output as PDF and other formats.

If you want to email me a sample RTF file I would be happy to send a
sample to convert it and send you the PDF sample.

Another option might be to automate MS Word to do this for you. We have
software that can help with that as well.

Has anyone got or knows of a command or utility (including

source) on ISeries (AS400) that would convert a Microsoft RTF file
located on IFS to PDF file?
