Now this is sweet. BRMS is apparently loading the cleaning cartridge and
trying to back up to it.

Cause . . . . . : Cartridge identifier CLNU00 is a cleaning cartridge an
not correct for tape operations. The device has been cleaned. Recovery
. : If a tape operation is required, use a cartridge that is not a
cleaning cartridge.

Why would it do such a thing? I'll eject the &**(& cleaning cartridge from
the tape library and see what happens tonight.

If you have the job log of the job, there will be error messages prior
to the CPF3794 - that's what is important.
This could be a damaged object or some other problem.
Even though this link is for v5.4 there is a long list of possible CPF
messages for SAVSECDTA Post clips from joblog here if you want us to
