Subject: Re: BRMS backups failing
Now this is sweet. BRMS is apparently loading the cleaning cartridge and
trying to back up to it.
Cause . . . . . : Cartridge identifier CLNU00 is a cleaning cartridge an
not correct for tape operations. The device has been cleaned. Recovery
. : If a tape operation is required, use a cartridge that is not a
cleaning cartridge.
Why would it do such a thing? I'll eject the &**(& cleaning cartridge from
the tape library and see what happens tonight.

This could be a damaged object or some other problem.
Even though this link is for v5.4 there is a long list of possible CPF
messages for SAVSECDTA Post clips from joblog here if you want us to
help analyze

Our BRMS backups start the SAVSECDTA phase and then fail:
CPF3794 70 Save or restore operation ended unsuccessfully.
How to interpret this diagnostic and get to a root cause?
