Whoa Diego.

It's a terminology thing.

There's a difference between virtual tape (images)
and a virtual tape library or virtual tape device.

The OP was talking about the images thing.

I've done both.

Not quite as popular as using Virtual Optical to load OS upgrades and
PTF's but comparable in concept.
