Why is this Sad? IBM is paying them to do the work on these products but
IBM still owns them.

I'll tell you why I find it sad. It took years for Abstract to put
together anything for RDi integration (maybe WDSC at the time). When they
finally did, it was less than unimpressive. (Okay, an odd way to say it
but I couldn't come up with a way to express how disappointing it was
without being a little offensive. My phrasing may be offensive anyway so
I'll describe it again and say it was just plane lame.) Maybe it's
improved in the last couple years, but it wasn't worth the effort to
install it the last time I tried.
Don't get me wrong. I like HelpSystems and I like *most* of their work.
But I'm not excited about them doing development on RDi. I'm praying I'll
be more than pleasantly surprised. Part of my issue is I'm not clear about
this:
Is HelpSystems taking over RDi development or just supplementing IBM's
development?
I know IBM hasn't always been speedy with their updates and enhancements,
but the team that works on RDi has always been awesome.
