We have help desk personnel who are not iSeries savvy. They are supposed to create user profiles. But, we don't want to give them SecAdm authority (gives the auditor willies) and never qsecofr !

Is there software that allows a user to adopt the authority to create profiles and logs the heck out of it to keep auditors happy ?

I'm looking for recommendations from users, not so much vendors.

I wrote a command that uses a CLP as the command processing program.
The CLP is owned by a *secadm, with USRPRF(*OWNER).
The command + CLP allow a non-technical person to create a new profile
that 'fits' the department where the new employee will be working. It
sets things like the initial program, library list, group profile, etc.
One could do the same thing with a display file and a CLP, and perhaps
add an RPG program to log the request to an internal audit trail, send
an email for review, etc.
