I need to display the fields and column headings in a table and do

I would like to run a command that would prompt up the same window as
iNav does, similar to the generate definition option in iNav.

Is this possible? I may be missing the wood for the trees.

Does the Run SQL script environment suffice for the "same window" requirement? If so, then perhaps the following example, for showing the CREATE TABLE script for the physical database *FILE object MY_LIB/MY_FILE:

call qsys2.generate_sql
( 'MY_FILE', 'MY_LIB', 'TABLE' )
