And the length of such an offering is totally under their control also.
In V4 days such an extension was 5-8 months, if at all.
The first couple of releases of V5 had no extension. Then it was a
ridiculously long 4 years. But that jump from V5R4 was a bit to overcome
for many.
They cut that down by 1/4 for 6.1.
