Most "big monolithic" periodic jobs boil down to, read this file and do
"something" for every record.

In that case, you at least have 4 jobs each reading 25% of the file.

Or perhaps you can replace some long running RLA steps that do
summarization with SQL.​

You could pay for a lot of refactoring for the price of even a small
POWER9...
