The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

The Power Systems use a double bit parity bit scheme. If you look at crutial make sure it is for the Power System you have. It is more than just speed and power consumption. As for the warranty, I know the memory is not covered by IBM but I do not know if it will cause other issues.

Subject: memory question
Looking into pricing to upgrade our memory on the iseries. VAR has come
back with $1200 for 16gb. We can get crutial for about $180.
What am i missing here? Is the memory created for the iseries
proprietary or something?
Also, if we do use crutial, is there any issue with warranty?
