Would it be easier to just install the latest version of the HMC that the 7042CR6 will handle as well as the firmware and do a scratch install since I only have one system on it? It should be able to pull the running system and build its inventory easily?

Else I have to step upgrade from V7R7.2 to V7R7.7 to V7R7.9 to V8R8.2 to V8R8.4 which I know the power 8 will utilize. Final step would be to V8R8.6

If I can go direct to V8R8.4 which I have in a second data center and know the Power 8 is covered. I will first see what firmware I need to install to get the Power 7 supported.
