Can't say how successful you're going to be...either direct via the
wireless card or indirect via 5250.

Given that the printer appears to require an app or dirver, I doubt direct
printing is going to work.

Honestly, trying to printer to a cheap home printer from the i usually
doesn't end well.

Do you have access to even an old network capable laser?

There is a Midrange Wiki, and that helped me understand that the scope of
the problem is greater than I had imagined. AFPDS seems, so far, to be the
answer I am looking for but so far I haven't found a way to connect my
Canon MG5700 printer as an Access Client Solutions AFPDS printer. The
Redbook I found is 17 years old; its hard to believe that it is still the
best answer.
