Have not tried all uppercase password.

both Windows and IBM i with an all uppercase password if changing
your password is undesired. I'm seeing this in a few places as the
difference between the two versions of Windows acting differently with IBM i.
If this gets to be a big PITA you may want to look at QPWDLVL=3.
Once you go from 0, I find that anything less than 3 (1 or 2) is not worth it.
