The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

No. If you are allowed to use G Suite SMTP relay service with your account
then TLS is optional.
Don't get me wrong. It would be better to use SSL/TLS between all
mailservers, but in this configuration there is a kind of trust because of
the registered ipaddress.
