In that case, you should be able to run PASE without booting IBMi, no?


Let's break that down. AIX can run on Power servers without booting IBM i.
PASE is a subset of AIX. Therefore PASE should be able to be loaded without
IBM i?

Did you mean to suggest "should"?

I believe that PASE "could" be loaded independently. But I question the
relevance of that.

I see it more like running separate vehicles on the same road where one
gets a push-start from the other, and both have walkie-talkies sharing the
same frequency. The designs and performance and characteristics of each are
different.
