Hi,

I just got hit by the same problem as well... an external company offering a webservice with its ciphers set to restrictive so we can't connect to it with a V7R1 system.

While it hurts to get hit like that (and temporarily being blocked in further development)... there are already two new releases available for IBM i so we should look at ourselves and ask us why we're still at V7R1, and realize there's no valid reason to still be.

On the other hand, one of the reasons we're still on V7R1 is because sveral of our customers are still at V5R4 who refuses to upgrade. Is this a valid reason to stay at V7R1 and request the ciphers to be backported... maybe, but that way we end up as being the legacy box that isn't being taking seriously.

Kind regards,
Paul
