Jim - you talk about calling from RPG - which would imply native C code, so I am confused as to what PASE has to do with it.

Of course if you already have a version that works in AIX it may well run in PASE already, in which case the issue is how to call it. Scott's UNIXCMD would be one approach but obviously a native port would be faster.

Your company is doing home-grown encryption? Most experts seem to think that that is a recipe for disaster.
