Exactly what IBM said. Need to download and install groups. Arg! That is tonight's project.

Chris:

I'd call IBM then, although if your back on HTTP ptf groups the will ask you
to update those. Remember the HTTP groups comes with Java groups as well.

Recently IBM changed the *ADMIN server so it does not change over to SSL due
to massive numbers of calls to get the browsers to cooperate. I think
ADMIN4 takes over the duties of ADMIN2 (I only looked at it briefly so I
could be wrong) with that change.

I verified that the server is in the local host table and the host name in
cfgtcpdmn is correct. All admin servers are running but admin4. It just
starts and stops without logging a thing. Well the system name is now
logging correctly but still no love from admin4. RBD entry was updated for
new system name.

My first thought would be to check the host table entries(cfgtcp option10)
to see if there is a host table entry with the (now new) proper system name
and IP address on it. This is the one entry that I break the rule of "all
entries in DNS not on host table" so the IBM i instance and many of the TCP
functions can start even if they cannot see the DNS server for some reason.

Also the Domain information should match as well (cfgtcp, option 12)

90% of the time when those are out of whack, the Admin server has a fit like
you are describing.
