You get two rows. Not so good.

​You've got SUM in the wrong place, if you do it like my original post shows
select
sum(case when QUA=1 then AMT else 0 end) as A1,
sum(case when QUA=2 then AMT else 0 end) as A2
from Q

You only get one row..
....+....1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5....+....6....+....7....+....8....+.

A2
102.98
11.32
