You can also use the integrated web services server [1] to to deploy ILE
programs and procedures as RESTful web services that accept and produce
JSON without the ILE program needing to know anything about JSON.

the YAJL parser to be superb!

There are articles for parsing and building JSON. I mean to put more
together hopefully this year as well that use the built in HTTP
