I gather that you're referring to the "death" of internally described flat
files being exaggerated. Okay, but we were discussing the relevant
distinctions between PFs and LFs being externally described via DDS or SQL
DDL. The object types and attributes are essentially identical for DDS and
DDL described data objects, but people raise a tempest in a teacup over
their distinctions.
