RE: Cranky LTO tape drive

Now for project level saves, special saves, saves that are not critical, Oh yea I love virtual tape, but for DR purposes, give me an external device tape or VTL (I use SPHiNX) but it's off the system and it can do a bare metal recovery.

Is SPHiNX still a good pick for the iSeries after its acquisition by Eti_Net? I was looking for a VTL solution in the last quarter, found a lot of references to SPHiNX in this mailing list, but then found very little mention of the i on Eti-Net's corporate website. With business's tendency to drop product lines after acquisitions, I didn't know if this had any impact on SPHiNX support/forward planning for the iSeries.
