If it could 'very easily' be picked up and ported, why don't you do it?
I'm being serious. If I had interest, or if I were convinced that X had
sufficient value to my development efforts, I'd port X. I personally don't
know diddly about .NET; I don't know what the advantages are. If there were
a community ported version, I'd give it a whirl. I did with iSeries Python.
