The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
You are looking for the escape keyword/function.

Subject: SQL Select where database value contains an apostrophe
V6R1
I have a file containing names that have an apostrophe in them (Dave's,
O'Neils..etc). I need to be able to select these records using LIKE in
the WHERE section. I have tried using double quotes (") to surround the
search value (WHERE XXNAME LIKE "%DAVE'S%", but SQL treats the value as
a field name and cant find it.
All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
