You may even use a distinct virtual switch for that ethernet adapter.
</snip>

That's another of the things I am wondering about. When I configure a
virtual ethernet adapter I see only one VSwitch, ETHERNET0. I fail to see
how to create a new one.
I can go look at the properties of that in the profile and I see:
VSwitch Switch Mode
ETHERNET0(Default) VEB

VLAN ID Bridge
4 vios21(ent0), vios22(ent0)
6 vios21(ent0), vios22(ent0)
206
209 vios21(ent0), vios22(ent0)
252 vios21(ent0), vios22(ent0)
3999 vios21(ent0), vios22(ent0)

ent0, and the vlans except 206, are all in my notes from when I first
configured this rack. This involved a whole series of commands executed
in VIOS. This rack has two vios lpars: vios21, vios22.
