One useful feature we have found in AJS is the ability to schedule an IBM i job to run based on the arrival of a network file sent to the system using SNDNETF.

With Control-M, to do the same thing would require creating a "wrapper" CL program and have Control-M execute the job periodically to receive the file and call the program which processes it.

Paul-

My client uses Control-M on their Power (IBM i & Linux) systems for
scheduling JDE and SAP jobs.

Give me a call...

Is anybody on the list using it? What are your thoughts? One of my clients
is being led to believe that this is better than whatever IBM sells for job
scheduling, etc.
