That's all the QSH tips do too.

Which means that the printer _HAS_ to support direct printing of PDF files.

Many modern printers do. Though there was a post a few weeks ago from
somebody who mentioned that their new HP printer supported PDF direct
printing only if it had 128MB of RAM installed.

Are you positive that the printer you're trying to print to supports direct
printing of PDF files?
