Recently had to install a newer LIC resave for a customer to get support for some newer hardware. I downloaded the I_Base_01 which came in the UDF format. I put this in an Image Catalog and when I run the *UPGRADE verify it failed because no OS image was found, so I added the B_GROUP_01.ISO image and the the Verify completed successfully. When I IPLed from the Image Catalog, it skipped the LIC image and went straight to Install OS.

I ended up burning the LIC image to physical media and D-IPLed from the DVD and everything went fine. I used the same copy I downloaded to my PC, so I do not think it was corrupt.

Questions:
Did I need to do a verify if only updating the LIC? I thought I should just to verify that the image was readable.

Any idea why IPL failed to read the LIC image from the image catalog? Any issue because of the UDF format and not ISO?

Thanks
