Gad,

Is the NFS software on the Windows server set up as a service?

Does it come with Window Server or is it an add-on?

Does the MNTOVRDIR directory that is specified need to exist or it a virtual directory created as a result of this command?

TIA.

Mark,

Here is my (late I know) 2 bits ...

I have a several ADDMFS in QSTRUP to establish a NFS mapping to a Windows
File server.

I use IP address rather then a name.

Here is one.

ADDMFS TYPE(*NFS) MFS('192.168.168.210:/NFS4AS400XLS')
MNTOVRDIR('/NFS4AS400XLS') CCSID(1255 1255)

This one for instance maps a IFS dir to a Windoz dir so that Excel files
created
on the i are placed in a (public) windows directory where they can be
viewed (by STRPCCMD) by folks not having a mapping to the i's IFS.

You need of course the Windows server to run some NFS Server SW
(and define anonymouse<bword://BAB!ALL!,anonymouse/>credintial in case
your i does not use SSO )
