I apologize, it looks like you're using a different product than I thought.

I'm used to seeing people using giovani's product which has AFPTOOL as an
option. :)

Does AFPTOOL shift as well? sometimes the *WSCSTLETTER value for the
MFRTYPMDL helps or fixes it. Other times it's from font substitution or
invalid printer file definitions.

Printers are a little more "lenient" when it comes to specs than the Host
Print Transform API, so I've seen.

you can see if it's the actual HPT that's messing things up, or the TIFF to
PDF conversion by simply using .tiff as the extension on the file name. It
will create a TIFF instead of a PDF. If things look the same, then it's
the HPT API that the issue is with.

It sounds like This SPL2STMF command uses our AFPTOOL product for the
conversion.

Try specifying *WSCSTLETTER for the MFRTYPMDL parameter on the AFPTOOL
command as a start.

Also, since this seems to be a support question for our AFPTOOL product,
please feel free to email me at bvstone at bvstools dot com as well (we
spoke earlier about it). Send me a copy of the PDF so I can see what's
shifted and if there is any font substitution going on.

Also, the AFPTOOL FAQ can be found at http://docs.bvstools.com in the
AFPTOOL section.

Hi all

I'm try to use SPL2STMF and TIFF2PDF command from UZAEMON's Homepage, to
transform an AFPDS spool file with overlay to PDF document. My problem is
that the data is shifted and so (the data) is out of the overlay. If I
print this spool file in the HP printer every thing is Ok. If I check the
TIFF file (created with SPL2STMF) I can already verify this incongruity,
so
I thing that the problem is in SPL2STMF, and not in TIFF2PDF. Does any one
can help me to understand where could be the problem ?? I saw in the
past
, other had this similar problem (Bradley V. Stone ) (see
http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200810/msg00447.html) but I don't
understand how they solved ..

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
