Since a certain Sunday in 1984, when the Olympics and Orwell collided
head-on in what is probaby still the most famous commercial for computer
hardware ever, Apple's principal GUI-based desktop and notebook product
line has been called "Macintosh."
Even though current Macintosh models are a far cry from the original Mac
128 (or even the Mac Plus).
WinDoze 10 has very little in common with 1985's 1.0, and yet it's still
called WinDoze.
In less time than that, IBM has changed the name of the AS/400 at least
twice.
What's wrong with this picture?
